Downey DuckEnriched Air Nitrox

Why Enriched Air Nitrox now?

  • Maximize your bottom time especially on repetitive dives.
  • Breathing more oxygen and less nitrogen lets you stay underwater longer and get back into the water sooner for your second or third dive.

How much more bottom time? For example, if you dive to 70 feet on air, your no decompression limit is 40 minutes. But, diving on EANx36 gets you 75 minutes of no decompression time - an increase of 35 minutes! It’s perfect for anyone who wants to dive longer, especially if you’re doing 2 or 3 dives a day. When you're paying big bucks for your dive trip, using enriched air can increase your trip's value.

What will I do? You learn the preparation and diving procedures involved with Nitrox using your home study materials and attending a three hour workshop.

When & where? The Nitrox workshop takes  about two hours and is held at at Downey Diving. Cost including study materials is $125. Open water dives are not required. You should obtain the materials and complete the Knowledge Review before the seminar.

What do I need to start? You'll need your PADI Enriched Air Crew-Pak, which includes book, DVD, Enriched Air 32% and 36% Tables, along with Equivalent Air Depth & Oxygen Exposure Tables. You will need to study these materials and complete the Knowledge Reviews before the seminar.

Where do I go from here? You can apply your Enriched Air Nitrox certification towards your Master Scuba Diver rating. You also need Enriched Air Nitrox certification to move into technical diving. Sign up today! Enriched Air Nitrox will keep you where you want to be…underwater.
